In the wake of Hurricane Mitch, in Tipitapa-Managua, Nicaragua, Lions Clubs members helped distribute food items purchased with funds from LCIF.

Key Benefits

Mission Statement:  To support the efforts of Lions clubs around the world in serving their local communities and the world community through humanitarian service, major disaster relief and vocational assistance programs.

Capabilities

As of October 17, 2001, a total of  US$574,222 has been collected or pledged for World Trade Center/ Pentagon/ Pennsylvania Disaster Relief from individual, club, district & multiple district donations. These funds will be used to aid persons affected by this disaster where ever they are in the world.
