Country In The Park

Pinellas Park Presents 10th Annual Country in the Park

Country in the Park is a day of fun, music, exhibits, demonstrations and food sponsored by the City of Pinellas Park and the Pinellas Park/Mid-County Chamber of Commerce. The Country in the Park celebration will be held from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Saturday, March 17, in the park area on 81st Avenue at 50th Street, Pinellas Park. Attendance is expected to surpass last years' crowd of 23,000.

Nashville recording artist, Doug Stone, and local country favorites Briar Hill Band, Hank Shaw, Cactus Creek, and Susan Lynn will perform on the England Brothers Band Shell throughout the day. Rosewood Station and other acoustical acts will perform on the second stage, located adjacent to the children's activity area.

The Pinellas Park Police Explorers will host a NASCAR display and tribute to racing legend Dale Earnhardt, on display will be the #3 Dale Earnhardt Bass Pro Car, #31 Mike Skinner Lowes Army car and for the first time anywhere the #29 Kevin Harvick Car.

Country in the Park provides fundraising opportunities for many Pinellas Park service organizations. The Girls Incorporated Crafts in the Park Arts & Crafts Festival will have over 100 exhibitors featuring hand-crafted items to fit every taste and budget. Other non- or not-for-profit activities include the Pinellas Park Historical Society's coffee and donut sale; Pinellas Park Kiwanis Club's soft drink sale; Rotary Club of Pinellas Park's hot dog sale; Lions' Club Klondike ice cream bar sale; Sacred Heart School French Fries and Chicken Nuggets Sale; Boys and Girls Club Hamburger Sale and Nina Harris School's potted tree sale. Featured activities are a Chamber of Commerce trade show; City displays; Community Regional Bloodmobile; Florida Fresh Water and Game Commission display; and Pinellas County Cooperative Extension Services' display entitled "Florida Yards and Neighborhoods."
